Universitas Indonesia is recognized as the best university in Indonesia and one of the leading regional universities in Southeast Asia and Asia.  In the recent years, Universitas Indonesia has placed itself on the world ranking, a proof that Universitas Indonesia is continually strengthening its position in global recognition. Since the reaffirmation of UI establishment in 1850, the university has performed its part for the nation. With the leadership of Christiaan Eijkman, the Director of Javaneese Medical Doctor School which was the earlier form of universitas indonesia), Universitas Indonesia was a center of national education and inspired its students to be policy makers and national leaders, even up to the recent era.

The major campus of Universitas Indonesia is located in green area consisting of 320 hectares with 6 natural lakes. The university maintains the ecology conservation while developing academic facilities. In the next few years, Universitas Indonesia will complete several projects of future development to advance campus facility, sharpen the integrated campus concept and develop innovation in research and technology.

For 66 years since its establishment, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), previously Faculty of Economics, Universitas Indonesia has managed to maintain its reputation as a center of education excellence in Indonesia. The faculty is committed to providing a fulfilling education for the students through its study programs and is in continuous pursuit of making the department a center of excellence for its academic research and education. On undergraduate level, we served five study program; accounting, economics, management, islamic economics, and islamic business. On the postgraduate level, the professional line is more emphasized on the application of economic and business theories in the real world including in decision making. The program included in the professional line is Master of Management (MM-UI), Master of Accounting and Profession (MAKSI-UI), Master of Planning and Public Policy (MPKP-UI), as well as the program included in the academic line is Master of Economics, Master of Management Science and Master of Accounting Science.
